Your journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel or the Bangalore airport. From there, you'll embark on a drive to Hassan, a distance of 200 kilometers. Enroute, you'll explore the captivating town of Shravanabelagola, a significant Jain pilgrimage site. Venture to Vindhyagiri Hill, home to the awe-inspiring 17-meter tall naked Lord Bahubali (Gommateshwara), the world's tallest monolithic statue. Your journey continues to Chandragiri Hill, another ancient Jain center with a rich history predating the Gommateshwara statue. Upon arriving in Hassan, check in at your hotel, and the rest of the day is at your leisure to unwind. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Today, you'll embark on an excursion to the historic towns of Belur and Halebedu. In Belur, you'll discover the remnants of the Hoysala Empire, renowned for its exquisite temples. The Chennakeshava Temple, constructed in 1117 AD by Hoysala King Vishnuvardhana, stands as a testament to Hoysala architecture. Marvel at the black stone carvings that resemble metalwork, and explore other temples within the complex, including Kappe Chennigaraya Temple, Lakshmi temple, Sowmyanayaki temple, and Ranganayaki temple. Two ornate pillars, one built during the Vijaynagar period featuring Garuda and another with a lamp built during the Hoysala period, add to the site's allure. In Halebedu, the Hoysaleswara Temple, surrounded by ponds, mantapas, and lakes, awaits your visit. Admire the intricate carvings and bas-relief work that adorn the temple's walls. Explore nearby temples such as Kadareswara Temple, Lakshmi Narasimha Temple, Ishvara Temple, Koravangala Temple, Lakshmi Devi temple, and Hulikere Pond. Additionally, discover the Jain bastics in the area. After a day of exploration, return to Bangalore, where you'll be dropped off either at your hotel or the Bangalore airport, concluding your journey.
