Itinerary

Day 1: Dimapur - Kohima (70kms)

Upon arrival at Dimapur airport, you'll be transferred to Kohima, covering a distance of 70km. Check in to your hotel and enjoy some relaxation time. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

Day 2: Kohima

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Explore Kohima by visiting the State Museum, the II World War Memorial, local markets, and Kisama Heritage Village. Enjoy lunch and dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay in Kohima.

Day 3: Kohima - Khonoma (20kms)

After breakfast, drive to Khonoma, a village known for its artisans and craftsmen. Discover the village's history of courage and valor, as it resisted British forces in 1879. Spend the day interacting with the locals. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Khonoma

Enjoy breakfast and embark on a soft trekking route through the reserve forest to the Tragopan bird sanctuary. Have a picnic lunch cooked over an open fire and return to the village by early evening. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Khonoma - Tuophema (55kms)

Have breakfast and drive to Tuophema village. Take a walk to Angami village, a village resort where the community actively participates in its management. Explore both old and new Touphema villages and visit the village museum. In the evening, enjoy cultural entertainment by the villagers. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Tuophema

After breakfast, embark on a 3-hour soft trekking trail to the neighboring Rengma village through the forest. Enjoy lunch at the Rengma village and explore the village and surrounding forest. Return to Tuophema village for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Tuophema - Majuli (195kms)

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Majuli, where you'll reach Nimathi-Ghat and take a local ferry to cross the mighty Brahmaputra River. Upon arrival at Kamalabari Ghat, transfer to your lodge and check in. Explore the local village of the Mishing tribe, meet locals, and enjoy tea or local rice beer at their homes. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8: Majuli - Dibrugarh (155kms)

Have breakfast and transfer to Kamalabari Ghat to connect with the ferry back to Nimathi-Ghat. Drive to Dibrugarh and check in at the hotel. Explore attractions like Jokai Botanical Garden, Shrikshetra Dhaam, Lord Jagannath Temple, and more. Enjoy lunch and dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay in Dibrugarh.

Day 9: Dibrugarh

Start your day with breakfast and embark on an excursion to Jeypore Rainforest, known for its biodiversity. Visit a Heritage Tea Garden, Tea Estate, and Tea factory to learn about tea production. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Dibrugarh - Departure
