The atmosphere is charged with patriotism, complete with chanting of the Indian national anthem, rounds of applause, and Bollywood-style dancing to Hindi songs. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, explore the city of Amritsar, starting with a visit to the Golden Temple, a sacred pilgrimage site for Sikhs known for its magnificent golden dome. At the central Sikh Museum atop the Clock Tower, learn about the rich history and traditions. Experience the community spirit at the Guru Ka Langar, where free food is served to thousands of people daily. Continue your tour with visits to the Durgiana Temple, similar in architecture to the Golden Temple, the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum showcasing rare collections, and the Gobindgarh Fort, originally built in the 18th century and later enhanced by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Enjoy a rickshaw ride and a walking tour of the old market in Amritsar. Later, drive to Dalhousie and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.
Begin your day with a city tour of Dalhousie, a charming hill town spread across five hills near the Dhauladhar mountain range. Admire its old-world charm, picturesque natural landscapes, pine-clad valleys, meadows, rivers, and misty mountains. Dalhousie boasts colonial-era buildings, including St. Francis and St. John's churches, reflecting its British Raj heritage. Embark on an excursion to Khajjiar, often called the "mini-Switzerland of India," known for its lush greenery, a nine-hole golf course, a small lake, beautiful temples, and a range of adventure sports.
