Our journey begins as we pick you up from your hotel in the vibrant coastal haven of Goa. A scenic drive of approximately 250 kilometers will transport us to the captivating town of Badami. After a wholesome breakfast at the hotel, we set out on a fascinating excursion to explore the rich heritage of Badami. Our first stop is Aihole, a historical site that boasts over 125 stunning Chalukyan temples and monuments dating from the 6th to the 12th century. Notable landmarks in Aihole include the Durga Temple, Lad Khan Temple, Ravanaphadi Cave Temples, Huchimalli Temple, Meganagudi group, Gowda Temple, and the Huchappayyagudi Temple, among others. Continuing our journey, we reach Pattadakal, a treasure trove of Hindu and Jain temples constructed during the 7th and 8th centuries CE. Here, we'll explore architectural marvels like the Virupaksha Temple, Jain temple, Papanatha temple, Galaganath temple, and Sangameshwara temple. Returning to Badami, we'll visit the awe-inspiring cave temples, the historic Badami Fort, and take in the serene beauty of Agastya Lake. Another comfortable overnight stay awaits us at the hotel.
Following a satisfying breakfast at the hotel, we bid farewell to Badami and embark on our journey back to the coastal paradise of Goa. Covering a distance of approximately 250 kilometers, we'll ensure you are safely dropped off at your hotel or the Goa airport, concluding this enriching expedition filled with cultural exploration and heritage discovery.
