Following breakfast, your day begins with a visit to the Mahaparinirvana Temple, the sacred site where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana (passed away). Inside the temple, you'll find a 6-meter-long reclining statue of Lord Buddha. You'll then proceed to the Ramabhar Stupa, also known as the Mukutbandhan Chaitya, which marks the spot where Lord Buddha was cremated. The day's itinerary also includes visits to the serene Japanese Temple and the informative Kushinagar Museum. In the afternoon, you'll journey to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and take the evening to relax and rejuvenate.
After breakfast, your day commences with a visit to the Mayadevi Temple, a significant pilgrimage site that signifies the exact birthplace of Lord Buddha. Inside the temple, you'll encounter a charming statue of the infant Buddha, surrounded by lush gardens and tranquil ponds. Your exploration continues with a visit to the Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka in 249 BC to commemorate his pilgrimage to Lumbini. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to delve deeper into the history of the region at the Lumbini Museum. In the afternoon, set out to explore the monasteries and temples within the Lumbini complex, including the captivating Myanmar Temple, the elegant Chinese Temple, the serene Korean Temple, and the resplendent Thai Temple, among others.
