Following breakfast, your Tawang exploration begins. Visit the remarkable Tawang Monastery, India's largest and the world's second-largest monastery, after the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. Continue to Urgelling Gompa, believed to be the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. Pay your respects at the Tawang War Memorial, a massive 40-foot-high structure commemorating Indian soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Indo-Sino war.
