Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Paro

Upon your arrival at Paro airport, our team will provide assistance and transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, you'll have the opportunity to explore a local village, offering you a glimpse of Bhutanese rural life. Later, you'll visit the historic Rinphung Dzong and take a leisurely stroll around Paro. You'll spend the night at your hotel.

Day 2: Paro – Punakha/Wangdue

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you'll embark on a scenic drive to Punakha/Wangdue. Along the way, you'll catch your first sight of Thimphu, which is just an hour's drive from Paro. Continuing your journey, you'll ascend to Dochula pass (3,100m), where you can take in breathtaking panoramic views of the Bhutanese peaks. The afternoon will bring a visit to Ewakha village and a short walk to Chimi Lhakhang. In the evening, you'll explore the impressive Punakha Dzong situated at the confluence of the Pho and Mo Chu rivers. You'll spend the night at a hotel or a family-run guesthouse.

Day 3: Punakha & Wangdue

After breakfast, you'll drive to Talo village and Nobgang village, which are the residences of the Queen mothers of Bhutan. Here, you'll have the unique opportunity to visit their homes, share tea, explore their vegetable and flower gardens, and gain insights into their daily lives. Returning to the valley, you'll visit Richengang village near Wangdue. You'll spend the night at a hotel or a family-run guesthouse.

Day 4: Punakha – Thimphu

Early in the morning, you'll drive back across Dochula pass to Thimphu. The rest of the day will be dedicated to touring the capital city. Your visits will include the Folk Heritage Museum, Textile Academy, the majestic Tashicho Dzong, the vibrant Farmer’s Market, and Changlimithang ground, where you may even witness an archery competition. You'll spend the night at a hotel or a family-run guesthouse.

Day 5: Thimphu – Haa Valley

After breakfast in Thimphu, you'll set off for Haa Valley, a hidden gem in Bhutan. Along the picturesque journey, you'll make stops in various villages, immersing yourself in the local culture. Upon reaching Haa, you'll visit Chebri village and venture up a dirt road to Tachu Goempa village. Your accommodation in Hatoey village will be a traditional farmhouse converted into a modern lodge. This evening, you'll experience a traditional hot stone bath and savor Ara, a local Bhutanese liquor, as part of your cultural immersion. You'll spend the night in the lodge.

Day 6: Haa Valley

Today, you'll spend the entire day exploring Haa Valley. You'll take leisurely walks through local villages, visit homes, and interact with families, gaining deep insights into their way of life. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to savor traditional Haap dishes. Your night will be spent in the lodge.

Day 7: Haa – Paro

After breakfast, you'll drive back to Paro. En route, you'll stop at Chele la pass, the highest motorable road in Bhutan. Just below the pass, you'll visit the secluded Kila Gompa nunnery, which consists of cliff-hanging homes for nuns. Upon arrival in Paro, you'll have the afternoon to visit local villages. You'll spend the night at a hotel.

Day 8: Paro – Hike to Takstang

Today, you'll embark on a hike to the renowned Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger’s Nest. Options are available for hiring riding ponies or mules to reach the viewpoint. After returning, you can freshen up at the hotel and explore the town for a final stroll before enjoying a farewell dinner. You'll spend the night at the hotel.

Day 9: Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, our team will transfer you to the airport according to your flight schedule for your departure.
